We recently purchased the Lund Cargo carrier and carrier side bar attachment. They were a great combination. Smaller than a trailer but big enough to carry all our camping stuff that would not fit in the car. To complement the two items a cargo net really helps.

Hitch mounted carrier side bar July 18, 2008
This side bar is made to go with the Lund hitch cargo carrier. It is easy to install and help prevent the cargo from sliding out. There are plenty of bars to attached and secure the cargo. There are times it becomes an obstruction when you carry odd size or a little over size cargo. It is always nice, necessary and safe way to have a rail around a hanging platform. It pays for itself if there's no object flying and hitting a car behind you.
Works well for larger bikes November 4, 2007
This is a great rack, it fit just right on my Jeep Cherokee and held my heavy electric assist bike no problem. I added the piece that holds the bike tire.
