 GU is not Gene Upshaw BUT.... October 10, 2008
I had absolutely no intention of buying any GU Energy Gel the day I signed on to look up what all the GU emblems stood for on the football helmets and football fields. Well now I know that it was in honor of hall of famer Gene Upshaw who passed away in August. But I also found this stuff, read about it, read the reviews and ordered some. It is GREAT...what an unexpected discovery! It tastes good and it actually DOES give me a burst without drinking a lot of coffee and having to pee! LOVE IT!!

gives me energy during long runs and other endurance sports - very easy to eat during a run, like having the option of 4 different flavors - I have tried all but Espresso Love so far (not a coffee drinker) and the other 3 taste great

Of all the gels, I like the taste of this one best. Kind of like chocolate frosting. They all get old after awhile, but I find this one reasonably easy going down.

This is a great way to purchase GU if you don't want a full case of the same flavor. It is a bonus to be able to mix up the tastes of this helpful product from time to time. I like the benefits of this product which include: easy to eat, quick to give energy and a good way to provide calories before the morning run.
