Look no further to go farther January 5, 2009
If you are serious about a quality snowshoe, don't bother with anything else. Flat packed, rolling, hills - up and down, deep stuff, these are all you will need. Replacement parts are also available, which I haven't needed in three years since I got them. The heel bails are easy to operate and work great. I climed a 45 degree hardpacked slope without one slip or discomfort. Grab them and go...
The Finest Snow Shoes Period! No Hassle! December 27, 2008
Easy on easy off! Step in Step Out! No frozen buckles to deal with. I have tried Tubbs and Atlas and they are all the same, too much trouble with too many frozen buckles and they fall apart after you use them enough. Bite the Bullet and spend the money MSR are the finest. The entire frame is a gripping system up and down and all around slopes. All you have to do is set the back strap first on your heel with with the ball of your foot on the center gripper. Use your own tie straps on the back strap to tie it in place so you don't have a loose end flopping end strap. And take those front straps and pull hard and hook and away you go, to enjoy your day! Read the instructions they are simple. Made in the USA! Imagine that Wow! Obama would love that!

I love these snowshoes. They dig into hard snow/ice so you don't slip, and stay on top of soft snow so you don't sink. The "Televator" heel makes going uphill no harder than walking up a set of stairs. Amazing. I watched my friends slipping all over the place and putting their feet at weird angles, while I just walked up the steep, snow-covered hill. That alone made these well worth the money.
