 sniper? Not a sniper! August 7, 2007
I got this gun about three months ago and it is the wors gun i have ever used. The scope is usless, amd the laser sight broke with in a week. The barrel suck, it chops balls like crazy, and to get the ball to shoot accuratly you have to pump out a load of nitro. Do not recomend this gun to anyone, even begginers. I would recomend the A-5 assualt sniper though

All right I havent used this gun in perticular with the sights and lasers on it but i do own a stock one. By itself it is agreat gun or atleast i think so. On automatic it chops way to much paint but with semi auto or burst ive had very few problems i had to play with settings to get it to shoot in a decent straight line. I would not get this one.
If your gunna get a scope get one that is made by a company that is well known ( Ive thoguht about doing this jsut cuase the sights not scopes that are mounted on it are horrible and dont help. Ive been playing on a farm with my brother and friends so i cant tell you ona real field. The gun is soorta heavy already with the stock with all that extra stuff i think it would jsut be hard to hual around and run with.

One of the reviewers seems to be rating this marker without actually shooting it or owning it. "the barrel looks like it sucks. Truthfully, I can't put any real factual evidence behind that, but you can just tell." Yeah, and I could just tell that the space shuttle is a pig to fly just because it looks clunky - mind you I'm not a pilot and have never flow one.
I own and have shot the MR2, it is a very good marker. Accurate, easy to maintain and nice to handle. I'm not a big fan of optical sights, markers are essentially air powered muskets and really do not have the range to justify the sight - but if that is your cup of tea - so be it. I would not rate the marker poorly for offering it.

Personaly I think that this is one of the best guns on the market for any all around player, but with a scope ur just kiddin urself.
No Paintball Guns ever need a scope. If u get a scope u will have to use tons of pressure, nitrogen, CO2 or whatever to make it even close to being 1/2 arcurate. Get the gun! Just Not With A Scope Or Laser Pointer!!

Yes, this gun does look pretty sexy, I will admit that. But before you get sucked in by the aforementioned sexy-ness, let's take a real look at the gun, here. First of all, let it be noted that all paintball guns shoot pretty much exactly the same distance as all others. If this were not the case, it would soon be, as all marker manufacturers would rush to reverse-engineer that far shooting marker. This being said, the "sniper" part of the gun is pretty much a lie, and is part of the name for one reason: to decieve the customer. That customer being you. Secondly, it being mentioned that paintball markers have no long range potential, a magnified scope is downright silly. Not only does this give tunnel vision, it doesnt help. Most people can see 300 meters in front of them. Also, lasers aren't allowed on most recreational fields, so you'd be stuck playing with your friends, who would most likely laugh at you for having such a silly gun. Also, the barrel looks like it sucks. Truthfully, I can't put any real factual evidence behind that, but you can just tell. Finally, who has ever heard of an automatic sniper? That is just plain stupid. Stupid.
So, I hope this review has been clear enough in it's message: do not buy this gun. If you want to play some woodsball, look for a tippmann--maybe a nice 98 custom or an a-5. The a-5 will run you about 200 bucks, but it's well worth it. If you're more of a tourneyball player, go for a spyder as a good entry level gun. If you like spraying, they have their selection of e-markers. The Pilot '06 is a nice gun. Hope you've been steered in the right direction.
