 Great value for the price. January 8, 2009
Get it! I've looked around and for around $40, this is a great shield. Thick enough and has great strap/handle configuration. Other (often more expensive) shields don't even come close to the strap/handle configuration or have them oddly placed. Very versatile. I also use it as a kick pad, holding the top handle and hanging the shield over my thigh, for partner to practice low (Muay Thai style) kicks. Pretty durable, yet gives great feedback to kicker and receiver. Get it!

This kick shield is a great value at $37.50. The foam is dense enough to take the abuse of most kicks. The size is great for quick changes of position and it is light enough to used for extended periods without fatique. All the straps and handles on the back? FANTASTIC - why doesn't everyone do this? Straps and handles are placed so multiple angles are available and the bearer stays comfortable and protected. It could be a little wider but otherwise this is the best choice if you want quality gear at a lower price.

This kick shield is well made for the money spent. Superb quality. The arm straps and handles on the back make for great control while absorbing kicks.

Our karate studio has been using them for over a month now, and they are of excellent quality, just the right dimenion, and the padding is firm for high quality kicks.

Like the title says it's a good kick shield. My partner and I use it a lot, and we're able to deliver full force kicks, knees, and strikes to it without fear of injuring the person holding it. My only gripe is I wish it was larger. The straps are nice and adjustable also, to accomodate a really nice tight hold on it, and trust me, you'll need a tight grip when you have a 300+ pound guy punching and kicking the crap out of the thing!
