Amazon.com Product Description Beat the dog days of summer, with the Gramicci Women's River Day Skirt. Made out of lightweight quick dry nylon, this 17.5-inch skirt is the fun way to get through hot, humid summer weather in ease and comfortable style. Three-tiered design gives the skirt a nice swing, and the subtle yet striking printed fabric makes the skirt a standout. The adjustable twill tape drawstring waist is designed for comfort and ease and ensures a great, relaxed fit. The Gramicci quick dry nylon does not make the typical swoosh-swish sound that usual nylon tends to. This exclusive high-density weave has a Dasa finish that keeps the nap of the fabric very short, creating a hand that is rich, but rugged and provides SPF 30 protection. Perfect to throw over a bathing suit and as a shorts alternative, the River Day Skirt will feel light, easy, and comfortable and look great wherever you are. Specifications: - 100 quick dry nylon

About Gramicci It's the early 1980s: MTV and stone-washed jeans; movies like Bladerunner, Diner, and Ghandi rule. Mike Graham, inspired by a love of surfing and climbing, launched Gramicci from his garage in Southern California. He designed the now-famous gusseted crotch and cinch/release belted G-pant and short that have become legend in the outdoor community. With grassroots efforts and word of mouth, the now cult-like following for Gramicci clothing began to grow. By the late 1990s, Gramicci was coveted for its unique fabrications, worn and weathered finishes, freedom of movement comfort, quality, and multiple functionality. Years later, Gramicci is still dedicated to creating garment dyed, worn-and-weathered clothing built for the sport of living. Forever paying homage to the original designs launched over two decades ago, the company's design team is always busy dreaming about the next generation of Gramicci. With a strong foundation, Gramicci is committed to developing new, natural technology and innovative designs each season.

You may wonder why the color is called "aloe" when it's lovely and golden. Well, it's not, the background color IS aloe colored. Not necessarily unattractive, just wasn't what I was expecting. Fabric is a great crisp, quick drying material with enough "grunge factor" to be hip and not dowdy. It's also sized quite large. Granted the material hasn't any stretch so it shouldn't be tight, but it's a very crisp material that doesn't drape and flow -- so it's great at camoflauging flaws but can be a little like wearing a curtain or lampshade. The hip and waist are the same size. It's practically a square until you draw the drawstring. But then you have a lampshade. I like it, but not enough to buy more than one in different colors, or to buy it again if I'd seen it in person first.
